August Is Fun In St. Louis!

Pretty much every day of the year is a holiday somewhere in the world, and HolidaysCalendar.com lists them all! The month of August especially has all kinds of fun and silly holidays, and we’ve come up with our favorites.

Girlfriend Day & Senior Citizen Day

August 1 is Girlfriend’s Day, so take your girlfriend out to a nice dinner to thank her for everything she does. Celebrate your grandparents on Senior Citizen Day. Taking place on August 21, this holiday honors the elderly for their contributions to America. On the other side of the coin, August 21 is also Youth Day in Morocco.

National Ice Cream Sandwich Day

National holidays also often celebrate food, and August is no exception. August 2 is National Ice Cream Sandwich Day, the day after is Watermelon Day in multiple countries, International Beer Day is on August 4, and we have National S’mores Day and National Waffle Day on August 10 and 24—just to name a few.

Book Lovers & Left-Handers Day

Then there are the off-kilter holidays that celebrate hobbies and quirks that are often ignored or forgotten. Book Lovers Day is on August 9, so buy your favorite book nerd some new reading material, and grab your left-handed friends some lefty scissors Left-handers Day on August 13.

These are just a few of the many holidays in August both in the US and around the world. The staff here at Gateway Easy Auto Credit in St. Louis, MO Help wishes you a happy holiday every day of August!
